Nanoneedling is simular except that it uses smaller needles and we would not pernitrate as deep. Both options improve your skins texture and firmness, reduces scars created by surgical procedures, injuries and acne and is effective at reducing pore size, wrinkles, and stretch marks. Treatments include the use of AnteAGE Hyaluronic acid and post peel balm used as a protection barrier. The epidermis remains intact, so the procedure can be repeated safely and is safe for all skin tones.

What You Should Expect

Pre-Treatment

During The Treatment

We will need you to avoid unprotected direct sunlight or tanning beds 2 weeks prior to treatment and that you avoid waxing in the treated area. We recommend avoiding perfumes, harsh skin care products, makeup, and deodorant the day of treatment or harsh peels to the treatment area for at least the week prior to the treatment.

During The Treatment

The microneedling procedures are minimally invasive, utilizing a set of microneedles to inflict multiple, tiny, punctures to the outermost layer of the skin. Because microneedling RF penetrates the skin, it inherently can cause some degree of discomfort depending on the treatment area. Most who receive microneedling RF report higher levels of discomfort compared to microneeding alone requiring our medical grade numbing cream to be applied before treatment.

Post Treatment

Expect your skin to be flush to bright red which will fade within 48 hours. Flaking or peeling is relatively common as well as well as some swelling. We recommend avoiding sun exposure for the first 24 hours after the procedure and that you to always apply a broad spectrum SPF 25 or higher. We recommend a gentle cleanser and moisturizer but we recommend you avoid makeup and any other products being applied to the treated area for the first 48 hours.

Results

Post Treatment

Some see improvements to their skin weeks after their first treatment, but since it takes your body time to produce collagen and elastin and to send it to your micro wounds, several microneedling RF treatments will provide the best results. For maximum benefits, we recommend clients receive at least 3 sessions per treatment area which makes our package deals a great option. Appointments will be spaced out every 4 weeks in order to give you the best results possible. You should find that with each session your skin continues to improve as the treatment is cumulative with your best results being seen at the end of your treatment sessions. Your results will last anywhere from 5 to 6 months, and many patients schedule follow-up treatments twice a year to maintain their results.

How is Microneedling RF different from other RF procedures?

There are many different radiofrequency procedures available to address common problems with aging skin. However, most of these work by delivering RF energy to the surface of the skin. With microneedling RF the energy is targeted below the skin to the areas where it is needed most to stimulate collagen production and cell regeneration.

Does Microneedling RF hurt?

Prior to the Microneedling RF treatment, the esthetician will numb your skin to reduce any potential discomfort or pain associated with the procedure. Because the needle perforations made in the skin are so tiny, there should not be lasting discomfort. However, you may have some redness and swelling,

Should I choose Microneedling or Microneeding RF?

Both treatments are effective at treating acne, scaring, reducing fine lines and wrinkles while improving the skins texture and tone. However, Microneedling with the addition of radio frequency (RF) amplifying the results of Microneedling alone while adding the benefits of skin tightening further reducing the signs of aging and skin damage in the same treatment. So it depends on how much help your skin needs often determined by your age and damage done to your skin by the sun or acne. We can recommend the right treatment for you but as a general rule Microneedling RF will typically yield better results.

What’s downtime like after microneedling?

Whether you choose microneedling for acne scars or other skin issues, you will notice that the skin appears bright and red following your session. For this reason, we do not recommend planning any significant events right after your appointment. Downtime varies from person to person, but generally, you may experience mild redness and mild swelling for about 24 hours after your microneedling treatment.

When will I start to see results?

As your skin begins to react to the treatment you will start to see improvements within the first week. Most clients see full results at between four and six weeks following treatment. This gives your body enough time to produce collagen and elastin and to send it to your micro wounds. At this point, you'll notice your skin looking both younger and healthier.

Is microneedling treatment painful?

Patients typically feel some mild discomfort during their microneedling sessions, but it is not considered painful. Numbing cream or local anesthesia can be requested if you are nervous or anxious about the procedure.
