We will need you to avoid unprotected direct sunlight or tanning beds 2 weeks prior to treatment. We also recommend avoiding perfumes, harsh skin care products, makeup, and deodorant the day of treatment to the treatment area. The area to be treated must be shaved (not just trimmed) no more than 24 hours prior to treatment though same day shaving is recommended when possible. We will not shave you.

During your appointment, you’ll either be laying down and reclined depending on the area being treated. You will be supplied dark sunglasses to protect your eyes. You might feel some slight discomfort, like a rubber band snapping against your skin but your technician can make adjustments to minimize this.

Avoiding sun exposure after the procedure for 24 hours is important and we recommend you always apply a broad spectrum SPF 25 or higher. The skin treated may be red feeling like a light sunburn that typically last for about 1 day. Hair follicles will fall out for about 3 weeks after treatment and we recommend that the area not be shaved for a minimum of 1 week after treatment.

For the best results, we usually recommend clients receive at least 8-10 sessions per treatment area which makes our package deals a great option. Appointments will be spaced out every 4-6 weeks in order to give you the best permanent hair removal results possible. You should find that with each session your hair becomes thinner and less course which continues to improve as the treatment is cumulative with your best results being seen at the end of your treatment sessions.
