Acne Treatments

Once you decide to come in and join us or an acne fighting boot camp or even a single pimple treatment, we need you to reflect and even write down anything you can think of that causes additional breakouts. This could mean things like foods, activities, menstrual cycle ect. This will help us identify the advanced acne treatment plan most appropriate for you. If you are on photo-sensitizing medications such as Retrinol A or even Accutane you will need to stop taking these medications 2 weeks before your treatment. In addition, unprotected sun exposure should also be avoided for the week prior, including tanning beds. If the client prefers to continue taking the mentioned medications the IPL treatment can be substituted with a  high frequency skin treatment which is also effective at killing the acne causing bacteria.

Your fist visit to our Portland location will be the the start of your journey and include some additional advanced acne treatments to jump start the process of riding you of acne.  This will include a consultation where we will discuss your goals, struggles and what you have found contributes to your acne breakouts and even past pimple treatments. We will then move into a double cleanse with a hydro-facial with extractions. Once your face if fresh, clean and hydrated we will move onto an advanced IPL treatment. This is an much more advanced way of implementing blue, red and yellow light therapies deep within the skin. By using an IPL therapy we are able to kill the acne causing bacteria much deeper than the skins surface level compared to light therapies, address swollen acne lesions, and paralyze overactive oil glands. You will then be provided with suggested morning and evening routines that supplement the treatment you received.

As part of the boot camp you will be recommended Face Realty acne treatment products that work well with the treatment you received as well as will receive. These products have proven to have a 90% success rate riding those who do the boot camp of acne. The cost of thee products vary by the clients needs but expect to spend $100-$150 on product (on average and not included with the cost of the boot camp). 

About 2 weeks after your first treatment we will want to see you again for a cleans and extractions as needed. We will also  We will also want to see how your skin is reacting to the product and make adjustments if needed. 

After your 2nd treatment we will schedule a 3rd and 4th treatment visit about 4 weeks apart. These visits will include a hydrofacial and extractions. This completes your Acne Fighting boot Camp but additional facials can be scheduled as needed as well as additional product is always available
